My work to date has focused on the impacts of anthropogenic nutrients on surface and groundwater quality. I use data-driven approaches with data at large temporal (~100 years) and spatial scales (country- to global scale). There is value in looking to the past and taking a long look in our rear-view mirror. Knowing what conditions, policy, and landscape management led us to the current state of water issues, we can better understand and communicate today’s water quality issues.
